The glorious tradition of festivals has been going on in India since ancient times. Deepawali or Diwali, which lit the house lamp, is truly the queen of Indian festivals. People wait for it throughout the year.

Some people believe that when Sriramachandraji returned to Ayodhya after the victory of Lanka and victory, the residents of Ayodhya celebrated the festival by lighting them. Since then this festival has become popular. It is also believed that on this day Purnahuti was performed on Maharaj Yudhishthira’s Rajasuya Yajna, since then this festival is celebrated. Some people consider Deepawali as the nirvana day of Lord Mahavira. In this way, every Indian sees intimacy in the festival of Deepawali.

Deepawali brings the golden message of cleanliness and decoration. A few days before its arrival, people start cleaning their homes. They remove year-round filth from their homes. They sew new clothes and buy jewelry. Desserts and dishes are made from house to house. Different types of firecrackers attract children. The truth is that before the arrival of Diwali, a wave of joy runs everywhere.

Deepavali is celebrated with great pomp from Trayodashi (Dhanteras) of Krishna Paksha of Ashwin month to Dwitiya (Bhaiyuduj) of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month. Numerous lamps, candles and electric bulbs are lit from house to house. Firecrackers and fireworks echo the atmosphere. On the day of Dhanteras, people worship wealth. After this comes a small Deepawali, also known as Narak Chaturdashi. On this day Lord Vishnu killed Narakasura. Diwali is the day of Amavas. Business people worship the new books of accounts. The new year of Vikram begins on the second day of Deepawali. On this day, people happily resemble their loved ones and express their best wishes for each other.
